Welcome to Capibara Experiences, an alternative, environmentally and socially conscious jungle tour agency based in Leticia. We work hand in hand with indigenous communities and specialize in authentic, holistic, and immersive multi-day jungle experiences.
We are immensely proud of our rainforest and the preservation of its life and culture. We support this by empowering indigenous communities through ethical business practices, education, and, of course, strong environmental awareness on our part.
We want to share our love for the jungle with you, and we feel honored to offer truly unique experiences. Beyond navigating the remote rainforest and sharing these moments with you, our guides are also excellent cooks—you’ll definitely want to try our local cuisine (vegetarian/vegan options available!).

My name is Juanita, the founder of Capibara, and I’m originally from Bogotá. I arrived in the Amazon in 2017, and it was love at first sight. Before founding Capibara, I gained experience working with a variety of local tour companies, which allowed me to discover not only the main highlights but also hidden gems. That’s how we, at Capibara, are able to take you to remote places in the jungle that very few people have the chance to experience!
The pandemic was a challenging time for the industry, but it was then that I knew I had to start my own company, guided by my own values. I take great pride in hospitality, I love accompanying our guests into the jungle (I’m also a translator), and I’m truly passionate about working with our indigenous communities.
My personal goal with Capibara is to help preserve our rainforest through education and by empowering local communities—and of course, to provide you with the most authentic and memorable experience!
My name is Cristian, and I have been exploring Leticia and its surroundings since I was a child. I know the jungle like the back of my hand. During that time, I built a strong connection with a local fisherman, with whom I spent three years mastering fishing techniques—it was a rewarding challenge, and I enjoyed every moment of it.
From then on, I became interested in the tourism industry, but I wanted to offer truly unique experiences. So, I became a lodge operator and the captain of a floating houseboat. As a captain, I developed invaluable navigation skills and had the opportunity to experience untouched parts of the jungle, which only deepened my appreciation for our environment.
Until the pandemic, I navigated the Amazon creating truly unique experiences and offering local culinary delights. During that time, I met Juanita, and together we started this beautiful project through which we can share our love and respect for our wildlife, the environment, and people.

Hello, my name is Noah Valentín. I am a young nature lover with a deep passion for the Amazon rainforest. I am 10 years old, and I arrived in the Amazon with my mother when I was just 2 years old, growing up in an environment that inspired in me a profound respect and connection with nature.
Over the years, I have learned the importance of valuing all living beings, from the largest to the smallest, understanding their essential role within the ecosystem.
Together with my mom, I have had the opportunity to explore different parts of the territory, allowing me to experience its wonders up close. Today, I want to share that experience with you, showing you that the jungle is a safe place when explored with respect, awareness, and admiration
